Midwest Exterior is a family-owned roofing and exterior company rooted in Belle Plaine, Kansas, serving homeowners throughout Wichita and South Central Kansas.
We started Midwest Exterior in 2020 with a simple belief: homeowners deserve to understand what is happening with their home before being asked to make a major decision.
That belief still shapes how we work today.
We take the time to evaluate the problem, document what we find, and explain what actually needs attention. Sometimes that means a repair. Sometimes replacement is the right decision. And sometimes the right answer is simply to monitor something that doesn’t need to be addressed yet.
We don’t just look at roofs. We follow the water.
SOUTHERN KANSAS IS HOME
Midwest Exterior got its start in Wichita before establishing our permanent home in Belle Plaine.
Today, we serve homeowners throughout Belle Plaine, Wichita, Derby, Mulvane, Wellington, Clearwater, Conway Springs, and surrounding South Central Kansas communities.
Living and working here gives us a connection to the communities we serve that goes beyond completing another project. We understand Kansas homes, Kansas weather, and the challenges homeowners face in both Wichita and the smaller communities surrounding it.
Our customers are also our neighbors. Our trucks are on the same roads, we work with local suppliers and crews whenever possible, and our reputation follows us home. That kind of accountability matters.

Midwest Exterior is locally led by people who live in the same communities we serve. From the initial evaluation through production and project completion, our team stays involved so homeowners know who is responsible for their project.
Being local means more to us than having a nearby address.
It means standing behind our work in the same communities where we live. It means being available after the project is complete. And it means building a company whose reputation depends on doing right by the people who call this area home.
We want Midwest Exterior to be known not simply for installing roofs and gutters, but for taking the time to understand the problem, showing homeowners what we find, and recommending the work that actually needs to be done.
A Belle Plaine resident and Wichita native, Mackenzie manages Midwest Exterior’s day-to-day operations and assists homeowners with the insurance side of storm-related projects.
Before Midwest Exterior, she worked in Operations and Insurance Claims Management for Fortune 50 companies. That experience gives her an understanding of the claims process from the insurance side as well as the contractor side. She handles documentation and other claim-related matters while helping homeowners understand the process and what comes next.
A Belle Plaine resident and Manhattan native, John manages Midwest Exterior’s sales process and oversees projects as they move into production. He works with our team to ensure homeowners receive clear information, accurate project scopes, and recommendations based on what their property actually needs.
Once a project moves forward, John coordinates production and stays actively involved in the field, helping ensure materials, workmanship, and installation meet Midwest Exterior’s standards.
His focus is simple: understand the customer’s needs, set clear expectations, and make sure what was promised is what gets built.
